The Challenge
A NHS trust wanted to respond to the COVID 19 outbreak, by procuring as quickly as possible, full visor PPE and specialist visors to help those patients who needed to see the faces of NHS staff.  Speed of delivery from concept through to supply, coupled with a product that was fit for purpose and produced to tight tolerances was essential.

Our Response
We collaborated with a hospital Clinical Development Team to develop a design which would meet the needs of NHS workers.

• Prototypes were turned around within 24 hours and used for testing within a clinical environment.
• Packaging requirements and associated product specification documentation was completed.
• Precise delivery schedules and times strictly adhered to.

The Solution in Action
With the product ready for full scale manufacture within a month, our:

• Purchasing Department used their expertise and contacts to speedily secure the volumes of raw materials required.
• Our production facility was ramped up to meet quantity levels demanded by the customer.

The Result
Our ability to innovate to very specific technical requirements and our access to a wide range of materials with trusted suppliers enabled us to swing into action very quickly and ensure frontline staff received effective, fit for purpose PPE when it was needed most.
