LOG CUTTING
Our log-cutting machines allow us to slit material to a full range of widths to meet our customer’s requirements.
Log cutting is a precision cutting process used to convert large rolls of materials such as adhesive tapes, films, foams, paper or rubber into narrower rolls of specific widths.
The process involves mounting a large master roll onto a rotating spindle, where it spins at a controlled speed while a stationary blade or a series of blades gradually cut into the roll from the outer edge towards the core. This ensures clean, accurate cuts and maintains tight tolerances across all slit rolls.
Log slitting is particularly effective for materials that are soft, thick or sensitive to tension as it minimizes stretching and deformation during cutting. Our digitally programmed machines allow for accurate cutting, tight tolerance control and rapid set up times allowing for maximum production efficiency and quick turnaround times.
It is widely used in industries such as packaging, automotive, medical and electronics manufacturing where precision and consistency are essential.
